A stopover between Monument Valley and Jackson. Day 9 is the longest drive of the trip (~8 h), so this night is about sleeping well and leaving early.
What to look for
- Anything on or near Main Street — walk to dinner, and it’s on the way out north on US-191.
- Moab gets busy in spring and autumn; book ahead even for one night.
- A place with an early breakfast, or grab something to go — day 9 starts before 8.
If there’s time
Arches is ~10 minutes north. Sunset at Arches on day 8 is optional; check whether the park needs a timed-entry reservation for that date.
